Hello Mr. Kumar,
Thank you for your site. I am a US student studying in India and I requested that my parents send me some books to aid in my studies from the US to Kolkata. They shipped the books via USPS on November 13, 2008; Yet, when I track the books on the USPS website, the only information I receive is that the books have "arrived abroad," (Nov. 21), "left foreign customs" (Nov. 21), and then "arrived abroad" again (Dec 2). I have a few questions:
1) Will I be charged duty on these books est. value less than $200
2) How long should I expect to wait before my books arrive at my flat in Kolkata?
Thank you.
- AC
Dear AC,
No duty on Books. They may reach any time.Enquire at your local post office.
Regards
Ravindra Kumar
