Hi,
I want to get some equipment from the US for my personal home usage - power amplifier, av receiver etc.
There is some confusion - some say it would attract duty around 35%, others say 16%.
Would it make a difference if a friend sends buys and then ships it, instead of the dealer directly shipping?
What would be the duty/ fine if I get second hand stuff?

If a person living in the US wants to send electronics for his family's personal use, how much duty would that attract?
